Groups and Ranks

Postby BioWizard on June 22nd, 2009, 1:53 pm

I updated some of the groups and group ranks. I also removed all moderators from the Experts group, since SCF moderators get automatic access to the experts forum. You can see from your control which groups you belong to. Your rank on the forums will show up differently depending on which group you set as your default group.

The number of posts needed for the ranks are as follows:
Member 50,
Active Member 1000,
Resident Member 2000,
Resident Expert members is bestowed upon members who demonstrate scholarship (and typically formal training) in a field - often scientific (historically BioWizard has been the one to give this title, but we welcome nominations).
Same applies to Forum Moderator and Forum Admin. As for the other titles (with the exception of Banned User, of course), they are automatic, by post count.
Honored Members are our dearly departed RIP

A minimum rank of "member" is required for the member's website URL/link to be displayed on their profile and in their posts.
