Basic stamps

Do any members here use them for hobby or industry?
It would be nice to start a programming resource for other stamp users if enough members work with them on occasion.

I'd also like to suggest the picaxe single chip micro controllers they are extremely cheap an 18x can be had for $10 and are largely compatible with the stamp.
Other alternatives include the Ardunio c programmed AVR based controller and the basic atom.
Also there is a free C compiler and IDE for the AVRs and a free basic for MSC-51 based devices like the ATmel 89xx series.
Lastly lets not forget the venerable Z80 family which includes the very nice and powerful rabbit microcontrollers.

I came down the path from 8080, Z80, 68008, etc. I programmed them all in assembler.

When I got to PIC's, I did the same thing.
