There is not enough information provided above to give a singular cost effective answer.

There are many methods depending on the nature, energy and frequency aspects in protecting a power supply.

Devices across the power source input can limit the maximum voltage input using an avalanche device that appears nearly invisible until a specific voltage threshold is exceeded.. at which time the device becomes a short circuit to any voltage exceeding its rating. This clamps the input voltage but can over heat if the frequency of voltage spikes exceeds the current ratings of said device long enough.

Likewise, a coil(s) in series with the supply can block high frequency spikes from passing through said coils. As a spike hits the coil, it causes an increase in current flow, this creates a growing magnetic field, the growth of said field creates an inverse current/voltage back flush that cancels the incoming spike.
